Dammar Gum is a natural latex that undergoes a hardening process from the aging of the surrounding trees, Dammar Gum is usually brown and black in color with various sizes (from 1 cm to 20 cm). Dammar Gum is obtained underground in fossil form, close to tree roots. It is usually found mainly on the island of Sumatera and the island of Borneo. The quality of Dammar Gum is determined by the size of the lumps of resin, their color and the amount of Dammar dust contained in each lump.
